Koh Lanta
Koh Lanta is an island district in Krabi Province on Thailand’s Andaman coast. It’s known for its coral-fringed beaches, mangroves, limestone outcrops and rainforests. Mu Koh Lanta National Park spans several islands, including the southern end of the largest island Koh Lanta Yai, home to semi-nomadic sea people known as the Chao Leh. The park contains the Khao Mai Kaew cave network and Khlong Chak Waterfall.

Koh Chang
Koh Chang, one of the largest islands in the Gulf of Thailand, contains dense, steep jungle. Mu Ko Chang National Park, a preserve with hiking trails and waterfalls such as tiered Klong Plu, covers the interior and extends to offshore coral reefs. Koh Tao is a small island north of Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. Restaurants, nightspots and dive shops cluster in Mae Haad Beach and near Sai Ri Beach. Villas dot palm-fringed beaches such as Chalok Baan Kao Bay, on the south coast. In the northwest, Koh Nang Yuan is a group of islets with hilltop views. Koh Tao is known for its tropical coral reefs, with species including whale sharks and rays. Hawksbill and green turtles gather here to breed.

Koh Yao
Koh Yao Yai is a Thai island in the Andaman Sea, halfway between Phuket and Krabi. It is characterized by sandy shores, mangroves, rubber plantations and fishing villages. Beaches include Loh Paret and Loh Jark, the latter with a pier for ferries and long-tail boats. The surrounding waters are rich in coral and dotted with dive sites, like the King Cruiser Wreck near Anemone Reef, and the pinnacles of Shark Point. The smaller sister island next to it, Koh Yao Noi, has around 6,000 inhabitants and is around four by twelve kilometers in size.

Koh Phangan
Koh Phangan is an island in the Gulf of Thailand in Surat Thani Province, just north of Koh Samui. It is renowned for its monthly Full Moon Party. This boisterous night-long celebration, which is tied to the lunar calendar, draws revelers to its southeastern peninsula, Haad Rin. Most festivities center on Sunrise Beach, whose beach bungalows attract a backpacker crowd. On the east and north coast lie quieter white-sand beaches including Hat Khuat and Hat Thian, and some select luxury resorts.
